We are back! Registration is now open for the 2021/22 year of CBS Band!

You can register online now, or in person at first rehearsal:

September 27 (Monday) – Queen Elizabeth Regional High School
Beginner Band 5:45 – 6:45 pm.
Elementary Band 6:45 – 7:45 pm.
Junior Band 7:45 – 8:45 pm.

September 28 (Tuesday) – Queen Elizabeth Regional High School
Concert Band 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
Jazz Band 9:00 – 9:45 pm.

For the safety of our members, and in anticipation of the province’s vaccine passport, all participants aged 12 and over must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, or have a medical exemption.

With the current physical distancing restrictions due to COVID-19, commencement of our 2020-21 season is delayed until further notice.

We hope for our rehearsals and concerts to resume as soon as possible, while ensuring everyone stays safe. Please check this site (or our Facebook page) regularly for further updates!

With the continued cancellation of large gatherings expected to last well into the summer and potentially this fall, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the end of our 2019/20 season.

We hope for our rehearsals and concerts to resume this coming fall, knowing that when we are together again the magic that is CBS Band will be greater than ever!

In an effort to contain the potential community spread of the COVID-19 virus, the NLESD has suspended the use of their facilities by outside groups. Therefore, rehearsals for all CBS Band groups will be cancelled until further notice.

The Concert Band performance scheduled for March 28th at the Geo Centre will be postponed until a later date.

The Concert Band performance at the Sci-Fi on the Rock convention scheduled for April 19th has also been postponed indefinitely.

Your understanding is greatly appreciated. Meanwhile, please stay safe, wash your hands, take care of each other, and we hope to see you soon!

Now a Christmas tradition! The CBS Band is Comin’ to Town for a night of fabulous live music, a delicious 3-course turkey dinner, and festive raffles!

Doors open at 7pm and dinner will be served at 7:45pm.

The CBS Legion is hosting a Dinner and Dance, Saturday, November 16th, at 7:00 pm.

After dinner, dance to the music of the widely acclaimed CBS Jazz Band.

This powerful performance and dance band will have you swinging to music from the big band era, and will include lots of jazz standards and many familiar pop tunes.

In-person registration for Junior, Concert, and Jazz Band members starts at 7 pm on Tuesday, September 10th.

Rehearsals begin September 16th for Beginner, and Elementary Bands and September 17th for Junior, Concert, and Jazz Bands.

The CBS Band 2018/2019 season concluded this past Saturday with another incredible “Sweet Music” year end concert/fundraiser!
